Overview

CCA is a Windows software application specifically written to take the challenge and hard work out of producing Cricket averages and statistics.  If you are interested in producing fast, accurate and reliable averages and statistics, over any time-period of your choice, monthly, seasonally, cumulatively, and with the minimum of fuss and effort, then CCA is for you.

CCA has been written with Recreational Cricket as its primary target audience, i.e. all the cricket clubs around the world. It can cater for all levels of cricket; small clubs with just one team, big clubs with many teams, like; Saturday 1st, 2nd & 3rd’s, Sunday 1st & 2nd’s and midweek etc. including junior teams, women’s and girls too, and both County, school, and college sides can use CCA, even pub-sides.  It can cater for two-innings matches, handles declarations and follow-ons and matches with less-than (or more-than) 11 players per side.  It can even cope with “Super-Over” matches. The Add Match (manual-entry) process facilitates entry / capture of matchday-data details straight from a Score Book or Play-Cricket Results webpage into CCA.  The screens are clearly written and follow very closely the layout of a typical Box-style scorebook or Play-Cricket’s results webpage making data entry into CCA intuitive and straightforward.  CCA has many built-in validations to prevent accidental mistakes or errors occurring to improve the quality of data entry. From version 4.20, matches can be imported where the match has been scored using Play-Cricket’s PCS Pro electronic scoring software.

Cricket score books contain a huge amount of information, even if only the bare minimum of score book entry is recorded.  Unfortunately, all this information is not easy to process and digest, particularly over a period of several matches, let alone several seasons!  At the end of every season players will often like to learn of how they have fared in the averages, better or worse than in previous years and against their fellow players. The task of preparing these averages can be quite tricky and time-consuming, taking many hours of effort, depending on the depth of information that is to be provided and the techniques adopted.  It is the recording of match-day information and the ability to manipulate and retrieve it at a later date that makes a computer the ideal tool to assist in this task. However, the computer cannot do it all for you, it still requires the information to be entered in a format that it can store and later retrieve to provide the information you require.

CCA has been designed to be as easy to use as possible and in recognition that the most arduous task is that of actually entering the data into the computer from the score book, is specifically designed to require the minimum of keystrokes and effort.  With electronic scoring now becoming more popular with, e.g. Play-Cricket, CCA can now import matchday-data from PCS Pro using PCS Pro’s “Export Match(es)…” menu option.  This improves both data input accuracy and speed (time) for match-data input.

It is only when several matches have been entered into CCA that its true power and potential can be realised.  Players cumulative details are on hand for every player that has ever played for your club.  A whole raft of information is stored for each player and your opponents and is updated after every match is saved.

Pricing

The normal “retail” price for a one-off Lifetime Licence is GBP 145.00 but is currently available as an introductory offer for just GBP 99.00  But, of course, ninety-nine pounds may be quite a lot of money for some clubs to spend on something before trying it out first (new cricket bats being an exception).  Therefore, a “try-before-you-buy” (free) version is available.  This version is a fully working version with just two exceptions.  Your club name will not appear on the screens and the print facility has been disabled.  These measures are only taken to persuade free trial users to register and obtain a fully working version – try it, you’ll love it! A Managed Service option is also provided.

Benefits
